Co-Founder & CTO at Pan.bio

I build the platforms, organisations, and ecosystems needed to turn the growing complexity of biological and clinical data into precision medicine. As Co-Founder and CTO of Pan.bio, I work across technology, product, science, and business to develop AI-enabled bioinformatics platforms and shape the teams, partnerships, roadmaps, and commercial models required to bring them into practice. My career has consistently crossed boundaries that are often treated separately: science and engineering, academia and industry, startups and institutions, and technical execution and commercial strategy. Trained in computer engineering and bioinformatics, I have led multidisciplinary work across genomics, computational biology, machine learning, software engineering, real-world health data, and genetics-driven drug discovery. Before focusing full-time on Pan.bio, I was Director of Computational Biology at Nucleome Therapeutics in Oxford. There, I brought together bioinformatics, machine learning, software engineering, statistical genetics, infrastructure, and scientific research to support genetics-driven drug discovery. I remain involved with Nucleome as a consultant. Beyond technical and scientific leadership, my work includes product strategy, roadmaps, budgeting, pricing, partnerships, business development, and supporting grant, fundraising, and investment-related activities. I am often most useful where multiple disciplines, organisations, and stakeholder groups meet: translating between specialists, identifying connections across silos, and helping teams see what an integrated future could look like. I believe data will fuel precision medicine, but data alone will not deliver it. Progress will depend on scientifically grounded platforms and frameworks capable of integrating the true complexity of biology—from genomics to multi-omics, from coding to non-coding variation, and from isolated analyses to connected clinical and research systems. Increasingly, I contribute to early-stage institutional and national initiatives seeking to build these capabilities. Drawing on experience across Oxford, London, and Amman, my long-term focus is helping emerging innovation ecosystems establish world-class precision medicine infrastructure from the ground up, with the opportunity to leapfrog legacy systems rather than inherit them. I also support scientific education and capacity building through advisory roles with Phi Science and Hussein Technical University.
